AN AUTUMN RICH IN RECOGNITION FOR DUCA DI SALAPARUTA WINES: WHAT ITALY’S MOST PRESTIGIOUS GUIDES SAY
Duca di Salaparuta wines have won major recognition. In particular, two prestigious Italian publications — “Vini Buoni d’Italia”–Touring Club Italiano and “Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia” — have given impressive prizes to the labels which have made a real mark for quality and excellence.
Duca Enrico 2017 and the Marsala Florio Donna Franca reserve both got Corona (Crown) status in the 2022 edition of Guida Vini Buoni d’Italia, the top honor awarded exclusively to the wines which obtained the highest scores in the tastings conducted by the editorial staff of the Italian Touring Club’s famous wine guide.
Further confirmation of Duca Enrico 2017’s prominent standing has come from the Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia 2022 edited by DANIELE CERNILLI – DOCTOR WINE: with a score of 96/100, the first Nero d’Avola single-variety wine made in the Duca di Salaparuta cellars (since 1984) won the special prize as the“BEST WINE FROM NERO D’AVOLA GRAPES IN 2022,” one of Italy’s most important honors in the oenology sector.
Our Florio Cellars as well have attracted the attention of Doctor Wine, earning a splendid Tre Stelle rating. The winemaking business in Marsala, Sicily, got the highest score among an exclusive selection of 117 Italian wineries that stand out for the following qualities: the value of the brand name and the distinctiveness of the territory it represents; the qualitative reliability of the products; the attention to and heightening of the company’s international image. All trump cards the Florio brand can play each and every day.
Completing the picture of recognitions our wines have won recently is the “5 Grappoli” status awarded by the prominent BIBENDA Guide 2022 (www.bibenda.it). In particular, it gave the highest of its honors to four of our Duca di Salaparuta and Florio wines.
